Second Opinions

It can be tricky to tell your doctor that you want a second opinion, but it can be a really good thing. My first set of doctors always said that my fibroids weren't stopping me from getting pregnant (or staying pregnant). But when I finally got an RE, he said that there are no other problems, so I should take them out and see what happens. What happened? I got pregnant! I'm so glad I ended up in a situation where a doctor was willing to go against what the others said. Who knows if I'd have ever got pregnant otherwise.

Baskets

Happy Spring, everyone! Easter reminds me of baskets, and baskets make me think of how my doctor described my uterus as a fruit basket. I had 9 fibroids removed, ranging from a big orange-size, to a few lemons and limes, to a bunch of grapes. I hope to get better things in my Easter basket this year! :-)
